Some nice news: one of my poems has been included in a poetry collection published by Recent Work Press. The collection is titled Not Very Quiet: The anthology.
Not Very Quiet is a twice yearly online journal that was published from 2017 to 2021. It was dedicated to publishing women poets of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds, and over the years created an impressive and varied archive (which you can access here).
While the editors of the journal have decided not to continue it into 2022, they did put together an anthology of highlights from the journal over the years – creating the anthology mentioned above.
I have very fond memories of the editors of this journal, who not only worked tirelessly to produce a high-quality publication, but who also ran poetry evenings in my home city of Canberra. The poetry community that was built up around this journal was always welcoming and good-humoured and NVQ events were enormous fun.
Congratulations to the fantastic writers and editors at NVQ, and to Recent Work Press for publishing such a beautiful book. I am delighted that my work has been included in it.
