New poetry in The Amphibian Literary Journal

Cover art: ‘Tree of Life’ by Olga Kovtun

Two of my poems were recently selected for publication by The Amphibian Literary Journal for their third issue. The Amphibian is a publication that seeks to explore the thoughts and impressions of people who write in English and live in two cultures at once.

My two poems, A Poem for When I don’t Feel Like Calling my Mother and Histories of Near Disasters, both revolve around family. This was in keeping with The Amphibian’s Issue 3 theme, ‘Family, Ancestors’.

Issue 3 was also published in part to reflect the war raging in Ukraine. Olga Kovtun’s beautiful artwork Tree of Life features on the cover; Olga is a Ukrainian artist, currently a refugee.
