I recently watched Dix Pour Cent (France 2), or Call My Agent as is it known in English, and was struck by where it fits within current political and social debates in France.
As well as being clever and funny, the show is ground-breaking in terms of queer representation on mainstream French TV. It is also distinctly political given current debates regarding ‘la procréation médicalement assistée’ (PMA) or ‘medically assisted procreation’.
Bref, I want to write about it – so thank you SheKnows for commissioning this piece on social progressivism and French TV! The focus on queer parenting in Dix Pour Cent felt well worth highlighting and I loved writing about it.
